CLEVELAND, Ohio — La organización comunitaria Esperanza celebró este sábado 15 de agosto una nueva edición de su tradicional feria escolar “Back to School”, reafirmando su compromiso con la educación y la niñez hispana al beneficiar a más de 1 000 estudiantes antes del inicio del año 2026–2027.

La actividad se realizó en las instalaciones de Max S. Hayes High School entre las 9 a.m. y 12 p.m. reuniendo a cientos de familias que recibieron mochilas cargadas con suministros escolares esenciales para el nuevo ciclo académico.

Esta iniciativa comunitaria, que tuvo sus orígenes en el año 2009 con una modesta distribución de 10 mochilas, ha experimentado un crecimiento sostenido hasta consolidarse como uno de los operativos de asistencia escolar más importantes de Cleveland, siendo posible gracias al aporte financiero e institucional de sus patrocinadores.

Junto a la entrega de materiales, las familias asistentes accedieron a un circuito interinstitucional donde se ofrecieron recursos educativos, chequeos de salud y asesoría directa sobre programas sociales promovidos por la Ciudad de Cleveland.

La jornada contó con un activo ambiente festivo. La Mega Cleveland dijo presente durante todo el desarrollo de la actividad a través de la locutora Michelle Polanco, también encargada de enlace comunitario, quien transmitió en vivo por Facebook.
